According to Internet Speculative Fiction Database, Doubleday acquired the rights to the Foundation novels from Gnome Press in 1962. And they also state a "T28" Gutter code indicates the book was published in 1978. However, no other publishing information is available which demonstrates the book set's rarity. Here, Foundation has a gutter code of "O27"; Foundation and Empire has a gutter code of "N22", while Second Foundation has no gutter code.

Condition: Very Good to Excellent. All 3 books have previous owner's name written on front's free end paper. Foundation: shows some wear at top and bottom of dust jacket's spine & front dust jacket has minimal wear in the black.

Foundation and Empire: shows minimal wear at top of dust jacket's spine. Overall the books are in excellent condition: NO Rips, NO Tears, NO Stains.
