LEGO VERY RARE FULL SET Technic 8042 best condition of any set found online

  

This LEGO set sat on the top shelf in my childhood bedroom closet for 25 years, unopened. I actually opened it for the first time a couple of months ago, before I looked up the rarity of the set.

Since I already opened it I put together one of the sets, left it together on a shelf for a month, disassembled it, and put the pieces back in the packaging. Only one side's plastic seal was cut, you can see in the second photo that one side's seal is intact.

The instructions are in perfect condition, other than a small fold on the bottom right corner of the cover. No other pages are folded or damaged. Most Technic 8042 listings online are missing pieces, the instructions, the box, etc.

The few that do have a box are not remotely in the shape that this one is in. I would prefer that this went into the hands of a collector that would truly take care of it.
