Very Rare! Revell Us Naval Academy Gift Set Ranger, Canberra, Forest Sherman

  

This listing is for the EXTREMELY RARE Revell US NAVAL ACADEMY GIFT SET --1957? NavyMarine Corps Memorial Stadium [which opened in 1958]. USS RANGER [CV-61] --this Forrestal Class carrier kit is missing a range finder and maybe a spotlight or two.

You might be able to get any missing parts from Revell since the Forrestal is pretty much always available! USS CANBERRA [CAG-2] - this Boston Class Guided Missile cruiser is complete; the cellophane wrapping is torn.

USS FORREST SHERMAN [DD-931] - this Cold War era destroyer was in a "mostly sealed" box. Since there is a tear, I opted to extract the parts and conduct an inventory. This kit is also complete. And a mostly dried but unopened tube of Revell S cement are included. The box FACE is "fair"--not all the panels are there.

I have another box with all the panels---but the box face has more issues then this one!! I have not seen a really nice example of this box cover---and Ive had four of these.

They all tend to be beat up--not unexpected since its a LARGE box and its been laying around over 60 years!! Not shown are the laser printed digitally edited reproductions of the original decals.
