I have never seen any with open mouths that double as handles. I took some of these pictures with flash and some outside in sunlight but chairs are really really dark and I believe have their original finish as well as their seats. Could possibly been premiums from larkin soap co. All four chairs are super sturdy and there are a few light scuffs but nothing major. There are a couple of super tight age splits on the back of one of the chairs but nothing that affects the sturdiness or integrity of the chair.
The captains chairs are 44" tall and 24' wide, the other 2 are 42 1/2" tall and 18 wide. They all have working wooden rollers on front legs that can be removed one wooden roller is gone from one chair but metal fixture for it is still there. I really hate to part with these but sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do.I'm in north carolina not far from I 95 AND ROUTE 64 Near rocky mount, about 50 minutes east of raleigh n. Pictures count as part of my description.
As you can see from pictures they need a light cleaning, the dust is free. Also forgot to mention all the seats and springs are in super good shape. DON'T MISS OUT YOU WON'T SEE ANOTHER SET OF CHAIRS LIKE THESE!
