This listing is for a rare and desirable LEICA HUNTING SET, comprising of TRINOVID 8 x 50 BA in GREEN rubber armouring in an excellent oversized LEICA hard case with LEICA neoprene straps for both the case and the binoculars. The binocular itself is in very nice used cosmetic condition and performing absolutely brilliantly. This example has tiny multiple spots on the internal glass screen or lens below the prism housing in both barrels visible when shining a bright torch into the oculars , this is a common issue on this generation of TRINOVIDS in my experience, but h aving used this binocular in a variety of lighting conditions recently, I cannot detect any fall off in optical performance, indeed it provides very good bright viewing at both dawn and dusk and has good edge to edge sharpness. LEICA claimed t hese as nitrogen filled and waterproof when new. Also in this set , there is a LEICA rainguard and OPTICRON tethered objective lens caps which I have added, and are an excellent fit. A new microfibre lens cloth is also supplied.

Defects: tiny spots on the internal glass above the objective lenses in both sides of the bin ocular ; some very light scuffs and usage marks around the rubber armoured body; focusing not quite as smooth as when new. I take great care examining, using and describing the binoculars and scopes i sell, and always get a second opinion.
