Vintage Givenchy Necklace And Brooch Set Heavy 4 Strands Very Rare Find

  
Givenchy was a designer from PARIS FRANCE. He was known for his couture fashion and High fashion clothing items. He was a close personal friend with Audrey Hepburn after they used his designs for her in the movie " Breakfast at Tiffany's" and they remained friends for 40 years. He loved designing jewelry as well, and his pieces were regarded as WORKS OF ART. He designed for the modern women as well as couture pieces. He said he felt that the designing of each piece was like was much like architecture. This set is a VERY RARE find, And its in excellent vintage condition.

The set is a necklace and brooch demi suite , necklace is very well constructed and is heavy in weight. Its a 4 strand necklace, having 2 snake link chains, and 2 large, chunky link chains which each has carved detailing. There are 9 hanging charms that are attached to one of the heavy gold link strands. Which was made to look like poured glass, and each are encased and framed in heavy gold. (faux gold) ive of them are each signed or stamped on their backs, on the heavy gold framed backings.

5 of the colored charms have small rhinestone detailing. There are 3 gold hanging charms, with carved detailing and are 3 different sizes, which are made to look like chunks of gold. The necklace is about 18 1/2 long. The charm that is stamped on the back has the Givenchy logo and says PARIS NEW YORK And GIVENCHY.

Next we have the matching brooch. It's 3 inches across and 1 wide in the middle. It is covered in GOLD (faux) and made to look like real gold or heavy gold wrapped foiling.

The gold is very shiny brushed gold (faux). It has 5 hanging charms. 3 colored and 2 gold chunks, and some rhinestones near the top, with the same detailing to each piece , as the necklace, only the charms are not signed on back.
